Your Voice Matters
Join the Story Sharing & Community Updates
Every filmmaker has a journey. The failures, the breakthroughs, the midnight edits, the imposter whispers. None of that feels glamorous, but it’s real. And it matters.
“The work is so much bigger than any one person. We tell stories so we can see ourselves — and each other.”
Jordan Peele
The Crewsaide aims not just to be a coworking and resource hub, it intends to be a space of connection. One way we’ll do that is by opening up our blog to community voices. We invite you to share your stories: what’s surprised you, what broke you, what pushed you forward.
By telling these stories, we do two things:
- Connect us: When we see someone else’s struggle or victory, we feel seen and less alone.
- Inspire others: Your path could light the way for someone else who’s stuck, doubting, or launching.
We envision blog content like:
- Essays by emerging filmmakers
- Production diaries during shoot
- Reflections on failure and lessons learned
- Interviews between members
- Case studies on local films or mini-projects
We want this blog to be expansive; to include voices from all backgrounds, all experience levels, all stages. Whether your first short or fifth documentary, your insights are part of the mosaic. You don’t need to be polished. You just need authenticity.
Our contact form is accessible to all, where members can pitch a piece, collaborate on posts, or suggest conversation topics. We’ll credit authors, amplify across channels, and work to create a living archive of Minnesota film stories.
No one should walk this path alone. Let’s tell our stories together.
